Boom Top Mounted

Our top booms are designed to withstand vertical and horizontal wind loads and to maintain the sensor at an optimal and bankable measurement position with low vibration and structural dynamics.
 
The boom dimensions entirely comply with IEC 61400-12-1 Ed.2 standard and MEASNET recommendations and hence vary with respect to the sensor type (meaning the sensor dimensions and way of default mounting). This always warrants strict compliance with the mentioned standards.
Any uncertainties introduced due to flow characteristics by combination of the mast structure and the boom(s) are permanently maintained at a bankable level with an impact on the normalised wind speed of less than 0.5%.
 
Boom dimensions will be designed and produced individually, matching the sensor to be mounted and to warrant bankable, accredited compliance.
 
Optionally on request, booms can be painted red.
