Accredited Site Inspection and Assessment Mission
A site inspection by our lead technical experts is recommended in case no information is available on the soil characteristics and/or terrain characteristics.
By default our scope of delivery for lattice wind met masts comprise bolt framework, anchoring hardware and reinforcement bars for concrete foundations. However, anchoring plates, screw-in anchors or glue.in anchors (in case of rocks) may be reasonable alternatives that save costs and time during installation and avoid concrete pouring.
A site inspection and assessment mission enables raising valuable information with regards to the installation site and ground, based on which optimised recommendations with regards to anchoring options, layout, dimensions and materials can be drawn.
To determine if, in deviation to a concrete foundation, other anchoring might be more suitable or advantageous, a site inspection mission is recommended.
The assessment performed during site inspection bears the potential to avoid significant cost increase during civil engineering and on site installation works.
In addition a site inspection and assessment performed by ProfEC Ventus fulfils all requirements of FGW, IEC and MEASNET with respect to site assessment and determination of relevant site or terrain characteristics, which in turn may be needed later on for any analysis and evaluation of site complexity, wind resource data and energy yield prognoses.
Relevant site information will be assessed and depicted in a DAkkS (ilac-MRA) accredited site inspection and assessment report, which can be used worldwide by any successor acting as accredited measurement institute or testing laboratory.
