The Campbell Scientific model CR6 is a multipurpose Measurement and Control datalogger that uses high-speed sensors and universal terminals to measure and control key components of the data-acquisition system. Data Logger CR6 operates stable even in extreme temperature range of between -55 to +85 degrees Celsius.

Unlike its predecessors, this Campbell Scientific datasystem logger is entirely multipurpose. Using the 12 individually configurable universal terminals, one users can customize it to suit both analog, digital, or smart input and output systems. Additionally, the CR6 data logger offers 16 digital I/O terminals configurable for digital input and output and 16 pulse counters and as well as 2 switched 12 Volt terminals.
Campbell Scientific’s CR6 supports static vibrating wire-measurements relying on the patented VSPECT™ spectral analysis technology. The data logger can serve as both, as Modbus master and Modbus slave. CR1000x also can connect to a SCADA system through a Modbus RS-485 protocol.
Also the CR6 data logger comes with a 24 -bit high-resolution AD-Converter (ADC) and native data storage of in total onboard 128 MB of flash and 4 MB battery-backed SRAM.
The CR6 datalogger supports a variety of communication protocols such as CPI, PakBus, SDM, SDI-12, Modbus, TCP, DNP3, UDP, NTCIP, NMEA 0183, I2C, SPI, and others, and internet protocols like Ethernet, PPP, CS I/O IP, RNDIS, ICMP/Ping, Auto-IP(APIPA), IPv4, IPv6, UDP, TCP, TLS (v1.2), DNS, DHCP, SLAAC, SNMPv3, NTP, Telnet, HTTP(S), FTP(S), SMTP/TLS, POP3/TLS, using communication ports such as Ethernet, USB Micro B, CS I/O, RS-232, CPI, RS-485 and SDI-12.
Extremely charming are the built-in options that the Campbell Scientific’s CR6 could be equipped with, like Wi-IFIi, RF407, RF412, RF422 or RF451 as well as a built-in charger / regulator acting as charge controller for the use in remote applications and battery voltage supply operation. Additionally, it can analyze the data before storage and even goes ahead to control external devices, e.g. through PakBus and Modbus.
